Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs using Python
• Build and optimize applications with frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in agile environments to deliver high-quality solutions
• Modify, migrate, and refactor code integrating cloud SDKs, particularly in AWS-to-Azure transitions
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows
• Ensure code quality through best practices, version control, and collaborative reviews
• Work with relational and non-relational databases to design efficient data solutions

Job Requirements

• Great English proficiency (B2+ written and spoken)
• 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Python
• Impeccable punctuality (flexible schedules, but strict adherence to meeting times)
• Strong experience building backend systems, APIs, and scalable applications
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, software design patterns, and clean architecture
• Experience with frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI
• Strong knowledge of relational and/or non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar)
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
• Hands-on experience modifying, migrating, or refactoring code that integrates cloud SDK
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows
• Strong understanding of version control systems, especially Git
• Experience working in agile, cross-functional, and collaborative environments

Nice to have 

• Experience with microservices architecture
• Exposure to asynchronous programming and event-driven systems
• Experience with unit, integration, and automated testing
• Familiarity with Kubernetes or container orchestration tools
• Experience working directly with U.S.-based clients or distributed teams across time zones
• Mentorship or technical leadership experience

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time consultancy, with up to 40 weekly hours during regular business times. We operate under a flexible core hours policy to accommodate various schedules, allowing consultants to perform during their peak productivity times. Additionally, we offer the flexibility to work remotely.
