Job Summary

Oceans Code Experts is looking for a Lead React+Node (Shopify) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end technical delivery, building and optimizing Shopify storefronts, developing custom integrations and middleware services, and designing internal SaaS-style tools. We are seeking a candidate with 5+ years of experience, advanced English proficiency, and expertise in React, Node.js, and Shopify.

Job Requirements

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end technical delivery, scope initiatives, manage trade-offs, and ensure milestones are met.
  • Build and optimize high-converting Shopify storefronts, including theme customization and performance enhancements.
  • Develop custom integrations and middleware services to automate workflows and ensure data consistency.
  • Design and evolve internal SaaS-style tools with scalable architecture and role-based permissions.
  • Own backend services, database design, and API architecture, ensuring performance and security.
  • Deploy and operate production systems on AWS, implementing CI/CD pipelines and monitoring.
  • Collaborate closely with Design and Product teams to ship features and iterate based on data.

Job Requirements

  • Advanced English proficiency, written and spoken
  • 5+ years of experience as a fullstack engineer
  • Impeccable punctuality for meetings
  • 4+ years of full-stack experience in eCommerce environments
  • Strong proficiency in React, Node.js
  • Experience with Shopify Admin/Storefront APIs, GraphQL, and app development
  • Backend expertise in Node.js and/or Laravel and/or Python
  • Proven experience in scoping projects and delivering on schedule
  • Experience deploying and operating applications on AWS
  • Solid engineering fundamentals: performance optimization, security best practices, and testability

Nice to Have

  • Experience building reporting dashboards and event schema design
  • Experience applying LLM workflows and building SaaS internal tools
  • Experience with analytics pipelines, server-side tracking, and CRM systems

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time consultancy, with up to 40 weekly hours during regular business times. We operate under a flexible core hours policy to accommodate various schedules, allowing consultants to perform during their peak productivity times. Additionally, we offer the flexibility to work remotely.
