Job Summary

Oceans Code Experts is looking for a skilled Senior M365 Governance Engineer Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing M365 governance, compliance, and digital workplace initiatives. The position requires 5–7 years of experience in this domain, along with strong expertise in Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms and related technical skills.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage M365 governance, compliance, and digital workplace projects.
• Utilize deep expertise in Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams services.
• Ensure compliance with identity, access, and information protection standards.
• Implement data retention, eDiscovery, and compliance tooling.
• Collaborate with Legal, Risk, and Engineering teams to communicate and implement governance requirements.
• Mentor team members and foster a knowledge-sharing culture.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in M365 governance, compliance, or digital workplace roles.
• Microsoft certifications preferred, such as Microsoft 365 Compliance Administrator and Information Protection or Risk Management certifications.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms.
• Experience with AvePoint or similar governance/backup platforms.
• Proficient in PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Strong ownership and risk-based decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills to convey governance requirements to technical and non-technical audiences.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

• Full-time consulting position.
• Up to 40 hours per week with flexible core hours.
• Fully remote.
